IHealth Roadshow February 3, 2016

On February 21st, 2016 Island Health will be moving to the IHealth New Platform. This system upgrade to our existing PowerChart, FirstNet and other Cerner systems is the first step in preparing us for the new functionality (such as electronic documentation and computerized provider order entry) that will come with the full activation of IHealth, starting at NRGH, Dufferin Place and Oceanside Urgent Care on March 19, 2016. There are a variety of learning resources and opportunities intended to ensure Staff and Ordering Providers (Physicians, Midwives and Nurse Practitioners) are prepared for this change. These learning opportunities included information sessions hosted by Dr. Mary-Lyn Fyfe, Chief Medical Information Officer. This video captures one of her presentations, delivered on February 3, 2016 in Victoria, and made available island-wide via videoconference. We hope you will find the information helpful should you have missed attending one of these important sessions.
