Devices list by department
The following is a list of devices that are currently being deployed at your site to support the upcoming IHealth CPOE activation. Please note that these additional devices will complement the devices you already have on site, such as Workstations on Wheels.
To ensure that your site has the devices to support a successful CPOE activation, the IHealth team has been onsite at CDH and completed multiple assessments to finalize CPOE device requirements for all areas of the facility. Those assessments included physicians and informaticists, and device requirements are determined considering things like:
- Patient ratios
- Clinical service types
- Clinical team composition
- Surge metrics
- Downtime considerations
- Space availability and layout
- Existing infrastructure (power, network, millwork)
If your unit has any questions about devices for the CPOE activation, please submit an email to PDOTechnologyAlignmentTeam@islandhealth.ca. All other device issues and questions should go through the Service Desk, as per regular process.
