Steps to register for IHealth Education

If you need assistance with any of these steps, please contact ihealtheducation@islandhealth.ca.

1. Set Up Multi-Factor Authentication

Call the Service Desk, available 24/7, at 1-877-563-3152

This will enable you to complete your education from anywhere.

2. Access LearningHub

On your Internet browser, go to https://learninghub.phsa.ca.
Sign in, or register for an account if you don’t have one.

3. REGISTER for Virtual Classroom Education and In-Person Facilitated Workflow Reviews

Complete this step first, prior to starting your eLearning Modules

Virtual Classroom Education:

Capacity of each classroom education session: 4 seats
Duration: 4 hours
Venue: Zoom

You may use any Island Health computer or personal computer (if your multi-factor authentication has been completed) to attend the education session.

The content for the Virtual Classroom Education Session covers core computerized provider order entry (CPOE) competencies.

In-Person Facilitated Workflow Review

Mandatory peer-led education session
Content is based on your role and specialty
Duration average 2 – 2.5 hours

There are two options for registration:

Self register through Provincial LearningHub

Access Provincial LearningHub
Search Course
- Enter course ID in Search Courses field: e.g.: 31878, click “Search Course”.
- Click on “Course Title”: e.g: Provider: Anesthesiology – Virtual Facilitated Classroom Education Session.
View available sessions
- Click “View Sessions”, scroll for session choices.
Register for Session
- Click “Register Session” for the desired session.
Session Confirmation
- Once you have registered you will receive an automatic confirmation email.
- Session details, date, time and Zoom meeting information will be available within Island Health EHR Education app.
- A confirmation email will be sent from ihealtheducation@islandhealth.ca.

Register with assistance

Review available dates and times sent to you by email from ihealtheducation@islandhealth.ca
Reply to ihealtheducation@islandhealth.ca
- Provide two to three choices of dates and times.
- List in order of preference.
Session Confirmation
- A confirmation email will be returned with confirmed date and time.
- Session details, date, time and Zoom meeting information will be available within Island Health EHR Education app.

If you cannot attend any of the sessions listed in the Learning Hub or are having any trouble registering, please contact the project team at ihealtheducation@islandhealth.ca.

4. Access the Island Health EHR Education App

The Island Health EHR Education app compiles all education materials including prerequisite e-modules. This new tool allows you to easily scroll through material according to education stage. Island Health EHR Education will continue to be the location for all future education information.

Steps to access Island Health EHR Education:

To Add the EHR Education App as a Citrix Workspace Favourite:

If using a personal computing device, ensure your default web browser is Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.
Island Health EHR Education is accessible through the Citrix Workspace, where you also access PowerChart and/or FirstNet.

To add this icon to your favourites window in Citrix Program Neighbourhood:

Click the magnifying glass in the top-right corner within Citrix Workspace,
Type in Island Health EHR Education
Click the star in the upper left corner of the icon
App icon will now display on Citrix Workspace home page

To Access the Island Health EHR Education Application:

Click on Island Health EHR Education icon
Enter your Island Health email address
Enter your Island Health password
To Access Education Content:
- Under heading Current Journey, click on displayed journey to open.
- Stage 1 contains all prerequisite eLearning Module education.

5. Complete the prerequisite online education (eLearning Modules)

Your prerequisite education must be complete before you attend the Virtual Classroom Education.

NOTE: These modules were developed as standard Oracle Cerner content, providing staff the opportunity to experience at a high level the workflows and processes in the Cerner PowerChart Electronic Health Record. Your specific workflows and processes may vary slightly from the demonstration eLearning Modules.

6. Register for a Personalization Session

Work with a ProEX team member to create your order favourites, templates and macros.
Surgeons: get assistance with creating day-of-surgery orders for your first week of scheduled surgeries

These sessions are offered two weeks before activation and during the activation support window.

To register:

Email IHealtheducation@islandhealth.ca. Let them know you want to attend education for CDH. They will work with you to secure your seat.

Respond to the email sent to you from IHealtheducation@islandhelath.ca

Complete this registration activity anytime before the activation. These sessions are offered two weeks before activation and during the activation support window.

Once registration is complete, the IHealth Education team will send a confirmation email containing logistic information.
