Introducing Island Health’s New “Clinical Solutions Desk”

As a Clinician or health care provider in any capacity, you will be very pleased to hear that a new “Clinical Solutions Desk” (CSD) is available from 18777 Island-wide to support your use of multiple Island Health Clinical tools and applications. This is in addition to the current support services provided by the IM/IT Service Desk (18777). If you are calling regarding support with clinical applications such as Cerner or clinical hardware such as Integrated Med Carts or tablets, please Press 3.

The new service has completed a successful pilot at Oceanside Health Centre (OHC) and at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (NRGH) and the team was excited to receive calls from all of Island Health beginning June 5, 2015.

CSD Team

IM/IT has been working in close partnership with the Clinical Informatics team to launch this new service, which will also help to address the increasing support demands of IHealth technology. A key benefit to Clinicians will be the provision of timely service and support for their use of Island Health Clinical Systems and Clinical devices. Calling the new CSD will connect you to a team of knowledgeable Technical Analysts and Clinical Informatics staff who will support YOU and the clinical applications you work with every day.

Hours of Operation are Monday – Friday (Excluding Stats), 7:00am – 10:30pm.
